3 Cool Ideas For A Child’s Lunchbox

The holidays are over, lessons, recess and school lunches are over again. What to make and give to your child so that they will surely eat it all and not throw it away? Here are 3 delicious lunch ideas which kids will definitely love. 

Chicken and coleslaw pita

To make a pita with chicken and coleslaw you need:

200 g thinly sliced young cabbage

5 pips chopped green onion

60 g feta cheese

2 tbsp lemon juice

1.5 tbsp. olive oil

2 pita bread cut in half

300g cooked chicken filet

Mix the cabbage, onion and feta in a bowl, drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil and mix well.

Fill the pita bread with the coleslaw and thinly sliced chicken filet.

Add vegetable sticks to your breakfast – you can never have too much fiber!

Sausage and egg sandwich

To make a sausage and egg sandwich you need:

4 slices of wholemeal bread

2 tbsp mayonnaise

100g cooked sausage

2 hard-boiled eggs

microgreens

2 tbsp sunflower seeds (pumpkin, sunflower etc.)

Brush the bread with mayonnaise.

Place slices of sausage and diced eggs on two slices of bread, add the microgreens and seeds. Cover with the remaining bread and wrap the sandwiches in parchment.

Cherry tomatoes and bell peppers are a must for a hearty breakfast!

Sausage roll with cottage cheese, cucumber and peppers

To make a roll with sausages, cottage cheese, cucumber and peppers you need:

1 thin flatbread/thin pita

50g feta cheese

1-2 boiled sausages

½ cucumber sliced in sticks

¼ sweet pepper sliced on sticks

Coat a tortilla or pita bread with cottage cheese.

Place the sausage and vegetables and roll up (you can wrap in parchment for convenience). 

Apple slices and strawberries, which can be replaced with seasonal grapes or pears, add sweetness and goodness.
